Euramco Safety Inc. has improved the production and versatility of its Ramfan EV400 16-inch blower by adding a 1.5 hp variable speed motor, as well as a new electronic control system. Working at full force, this seven-blade unit generates the velocity necessary to rapidly ventilate a structure of any size, yet can now be slowed enough to safely cool down an overheated firefighter. Its electronic control accelerator limits the amount of starting current needed, allowing it to be used with smaller (2 kW) generators and GFI (20 amp) circuits. Its 1-inch, powder-coated steel frame makes it durable, while its retractable handle, tilt-adjustment head and heavy-duty wheels make it easy to move and set up.
